The Spring/Summer season 2026 is here
Town Hall Theatre Galway, this year celebrating the 30th anniversary of its official opening, has just announced its busiest Spring/Summer season ever, featuring an outstanding selection of theatre, music, comedy, film, musicals, and lots of special events.
From Druid to Don Wycherley, from Richard Thompson to Ryan Tubridy and from Little John Nee to Luail National Dance Company, there are hundreds of performances, screenings, and events to choose from and there is definitely something in the line-up to suit all interests and all ages in a packed programme. Full details about the season are published in the theatre's new season brochure, now available to download at tht.ie and tickets for all performances and events are now on sale
Highlights of the extended programme include an eclectic array of events in Cuirt International Festival of Literature, Galway Theatre Festival and Galway Folk Festival.
Theatre highlights include productions by Druid Theatre, Fishamble, ThisIsPopBaby, Brokentalkers, Little John Nee, Guna Nua, Don Wycherley, Declan Gorman, and Norma Sheahan with Shirley Valentine. Other theatre includes productions by Echo Acting, Precipice Collection, Elm Eye Collective, Closing Call Collective.
Dance highlights Luail Ireland's National Dance Company, Catherine Young Dance, Bevel and Embody, Youth Ballet West, Galway Dance.
Spoken word events in the Town Hall line up include Katriona O'Sullivan (author of the award-winning Poor), Maggie O'Farrell (Hamnet) and Ryan Tubridy with special guest Tommy Tiernan.
A busy music programme features a host of acts including Biird, Richard Thompson, Lisa O'Neill, Mary Black, Christine Bovill, Claudia Buckley, Leslie Dowdall, Flo Mac Sweeney, Marc Roberts, Whistleblast Quartet, Goethe Choir, Vladamir Jablokov, to name but a few. Other Music featured in the programme includes tributes to iconic artists Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Adele, Carole King, Abba,
There's lots of comedy to choose from with Kyla Cobbler, Vottoria Angelone, Neil Delamere, Rachel Galvo, Jarlath Regan, David Nihill, Arthur Gourounlian, Donal Skehan and more, many more!
The April - June 2026 season also includes major productions from Galway Musical Society and KATS.
Family events include end-of-year performances by Trading Faces, Club S, Ciara Beech Academy, Sylvia Nolan, Ultraflex, Genevieve Ryan, Ceol na Mara, Dance Concepts, 4M Dance, Phoenix Stage School, D-Dance, StageSchool Ireland.
Film highlights in the new season include two special screenings for Galway Women's Caucus, supported by Galway City Council, Galway County Council and Women for Election.
