Following the success of 2025's Peter Pan the Musical, Galway's annual summer musical returns with The Wiz, a funky, modern take on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, featuring music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls.
Blending rock, gospel and soul, the show follows Dorothy's magical journey through Oz after a tornado sweeps her from Kansas. Along the yellow brick road she meets the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion as they journey to the Emerald City, encountering witches, winged monkeys and more colourful characters along the way.
